Alexander Henry Rhind (Wick, Escocia, 26 de julio de 1833- Cadenabbia, Italia, 3
de julio de 1863) fue un abogado, historiador, geólogo y
arqueólogo, especializado en egiptología y descubridor del llamado Papiro de Ahmes. Fue el primer egiptólogo que
desarrolló un método científico para realizar sus investigaciones y que
representaba gráficamente los objetos descubiertos y el lugar en que se
hallaban.

Alexander Henry Rhind (Wick, Scotland, July 26, 1833 -
Cadenabbia, Italy, July 3, 1863) was a lawyer, historian, geologist and
archaeologist, specialized in Egyptology and discoverer of the so-called Ahmes
Papyrus. He was the first Egyptologist who developed a scientific method to
conduct his research and graphically depicted the objects discovered and the
place where they were.
